My name is Caroline! I'm from Orlando, Florida and I am an elementary education major. One day I hope to have a classroom of my own. I love working with kids, and I would love to teach 1st grade. I also love going to the beach, playing piano, and spending time with friends. I am currently in my sophomore year here at Florida State, and I plan to stay here once I graduate from my undergraduate studies in hopes to receive a masters degree in education.
Prior to this class, I've used laptops, PC computers, iPads, and smartboards in the classroom. I do most of my schoolwork on my laptop with the Pages and Microsoft word applications. Since I was in elementary school, I've grown up learning how to interact with smartboards. In high school, all of my classes used school-issued iPads for everything from reading online books to taking tests and quizzes.
In this class, I hope to learn more about how to implement technology into my future classroom someday. As technology continues to advance, it is crucial for me to keep up with the new and innovative ways to promote education through the use of computers, smartboard, and chromebooks. I hope that by the end of this class, I will have advanced my skills. I am excited to take this class and see all of the new information it has to offer me!
