Working with Diigo has been such a positive experience. My favorite function is the “read and annotate” function. When I find a website that has relevant information to whatever I’m studying, I can highlight it and make comments about it. Also, I love sharing my annotations with the class by posting the notes to the EME 2020 class group. I could use Diigo in my classroom, as it can encourage my students to work together on group projects by sharing each group member’s annotations to a group. I can do the same with team members and fellow classmates; Diigo allows you to share your findings with your team members easily. For myself, I can keep my annotations private to keep my own research findings and annotations my own. Bloom’s taxonomy is a pyramid of skills that can help you get an educational task done efficiently and thoroughly. There are 6 steps to the pyramid: create, evaluate, analyze, apply, understand, remember. You could use PowerPoint to breakdown these steps. If you are ...

ILP#2 Participation LinkedIn Lesson

For my ILP #2, I watched a LinkedIn lesson on how to become a better listener. The course taught me strategies to use when in conversation, and tips and tricks to help me improve my listening skills. LinkedIn is such a great website for anyone looking to improve their skills and learn new things. I will definitely continue to use LikedIn in the future. https://voicethread.com/share/13206748/ certificate:

I visited Springwood Elementary School’s website and found a great amount of public information about their school. On the home page, you can see general information about the upcoming school events, teachers, and faculty. On the teacher page, you can see each teacher and some information about them, such as how long they have been teaching and what grade they teach. See below for a screenshot of one of the teacher’s pages. Having this information open to the public is beneficial for parents who are considering sending their kids to that school. I envision myself using technology in my everyday life at my professional job. When I’m a teacher, I will use all of the technological resources available to me. Having a classroom teacher computer is assumed, but I also hope to use smart boards and chrome books for the students. Having access to a classroom teacher computer will allow me to efficiently email parents, print worksheets for students, plan my lessons ahead of time, and much more...

Diigo is such an amazing tool for the classroom. It helps each person create their own personal online knowledge library. What I liked about Diigo when I used it was how I could keep my educational tools and recourses organized. To me, organization is a crucial aspect to education. You are more likely to teach/ learn better when your resources and information are well-composed and together. There is nothing I didn’t like about Diigo! Keeping a blog for this class has helped me keep track of what I’ve learned so far. My blog is my personal collection of all of the different skills and exercises I have accomplished so far in this class. As the semester gets busy, it’s not always easy to think back to previous lessons we have learned in our courses. Keeping a blog is beneficial because it allows me to go back and reflect upon what I have already learned. I have learned that I like blogging, and I would like to start a lifestyle blog of my own! A Web 2.0 tool I would love to use in my cl...

ILP "design"- Prezi

My Prezi project was on facts that I learned while researching cats. Prezi helped me organize my thoughts into slides to breakdown the categories, so they could be understood more clearly. Using VoiceThread, I broke down the process of creating my Prezi and talked about how Prezi is a beneficial tool in education. This ILP helped me learn and interact with more technological resources that I can implement into my classroom one day!
