I visited Springwood Elementary School’s website and found a great amount of public information about their school. On the home page, you can see general information about the upcoming school events, teachers, and faculty. On the teacher page, you can see each teacher and some information about them, such as how long they have been teaching and what grade they teach. See below for a screenshot of one of the teacher’s pages. Having this information open to the public is beneficial for parents who are considering sending their kids to that school. I envision myself using technology in my everyday life at my professional job. When I’m a teacher, I will use all of the technological resources available to me. Having a classroom teacher computer is assumed, but I also hope to use smart boards and chrome books for the students. Having access to a classroom teacher computer will allow me to efficiently email parents, print worksheets for students, plan my lessons ahead of time, and much more. Technology is essential to the classroom, as it helps the teacher work more productively and efficiently. Last week, we visited the tech sandbox and it was so much fun! My favorite piece of technology that I got to interact with was a 3D pen. I designed a star and some rings (see pictures below). I would love to have a few in my classroom someday. They allow kids to be creative, interact with new technologies, and explore their artistic abilities.
