The flipped classroom concept is a relatively new idea. Flipped classroom includes school work both at home and in class. Students watch lessons online and learn them at home, and then go to school and expound upon the online lessons. This allows students to come to school ready to ask questions. Overall, this system seems quite effective and should be implemented into more schools.
Open educational resources are learning, teaching, and materials for research that are open to the public. Examples include digital textbooks, online lectures, and virtual homework assignments. The website I found explains OER more in depth, and the link is at the bottom of this page. Overall, open educational resources are great resources to take advantage of, and I will definitely use them in my future classroom.
Both assignment 4 and our most recent skill check really helped improve my skills on Microsoft PowerPoint. I loved getting to explore the different themes and templates to choose from! My assignment 4 topic was grammar, so I made a PowerPoint lesson about parts of speech. This allowed me to practice my skills and see what it will be like when I have to teach real lesson plans some day! However, I think that the content about slide master is quite confusing, and it wasn’t my favorite part about the assignment.

ReplyDeleteFor some reason, it's not allowing me to post the link to the OER website I found, but here it is.
You mean you could not include the hyperlink in your original post? Would you show me in class?
